Since 2013, Cleantec has provided professional cleaning services to a global wireless innovator with headquarters in Syracuse, NY.

Our client focuses on mobile connectivity and manufactures cutting-edge products that enable faster, more reliable, and more secure networks for consumers and businesses. Given the advanced technical nature of the company, they must have a safe and clean environment where brilliant minds can focus on innovative solutions.

Our client also places high value on its appearance both inside and outside. There is an expectation we provide the "wow factor" to all individuals on-premises. Cleantec is proud to fulfill this need, successfully serving as the client's facility service partner.

Our client's needs have changed throughout the business relationship, and Cleantec has pivoted to meet those needs and exceed expectations. Specific instances of changed expectations throughout the relationship include the COVID-19 Pandemic, Facilities Expansion, and Personnel Shortage.

At Cleantec, we pride ourselves on building collaborative partnerships designed to build trust and provide complete transparency. We call this a Relational Contract, a departure from the traditional Transactional Contract that fosters an arms-length relationship with little trust and transparency.

We don't simply write out a static contract proposal with a list of what we will do; instead, we continuously learn about our client and their unique needs to understand what they need to succeed. We continually tailor our services to custom fit their needs.

This is our approach with every client, and it is based upon six guiding principles:

Our relational contract approach proved invaluable during the COVID-19 pandemic, as all businesses had to overhaul their safety and cleaning procedures. Given our long-standing relationship with the client, we knew what they needed to adapt to these new standards, and we were able to deliver.

Our COVID-19 Pandemic Measures included:

Measures
  • Conducting an entire facility clean-out with the client's initial, internal positive case of COVID. The client gave Cleantec complete and sole access to the facility for 48 hours to eliminate the virus. Within 90 minutes of being notified, Cleantec deployed two teams to clean and sanitize the entire 125,000-square-foot facility, including contents and equipment. The health and safety of the client's entire workforce was Cleantec's sole responsibility during this uncertain time. Cleantec aims to exceed customers' expectations consistently, and our team was once again successful as team members sanitized everything, even the forklifts, within 24 hours. Cleantec also developed a procedural Post-COVID checklist for the client to reference.

  • Installing and providing filter maintenance for 10-plus air scrubbers throughout the client's local facility. This helped to keep personnel protected during the pandemic while allowing the client to maintain productivity. Cleantec also shipped equipment to the client's sister facilities across the country to support their needs.

  • Conducting multiple Post COVID cleanups within a 90-minute response time. To meet this turnaround time for unforeseen incidents of COVID exposure, Cleantec trained four teams to be available to respond when a positive case was identified. This allowed the client to continue operations without interruptions seamlessly.

  • Performing preventative measures weekly using electrostatic spray technology. This service delivers superior coverage in hard-to-reach places, including the side, underside, and backside of surfaces. The result is complete disinfection. Cleantec assigned a trained team to deliver the application to both buildings during the overnight shift to minimize disruptions.

  • To further prevent the spread of COVID-19, Cleantec recommended that the client's maintenance team secure electrostatic spray equipment. Cleantec helped source the equipment and provided the necessary training for the maintenance team, allowing our partners to conduct additional disinfection and sanitation procedures.

Sourcing Disinfection
  • Sourcing disinfectant and hand sanitizer dispensers when the pandemic started and supply was limited. Cleantec worked with vendors to deliver equipment and chemicals quickly throughout the pandemic. Through industry connections with our vendors, Cleantec also sourced N-95 masks for the client's team members when supply was low, and demand was high throughout the country.

  • Instituting continuous preventive rotations in which two team members disinfected and sanitized high-touch points (i.e., doorknobs, sinks, handles) on continual routes to combat the spread of COVID-19.

  • Enlisting an on-site Team Leader to ensure all tasks are being completed successfully. This team member inspects the facility and communicates with the client's point of contact (POC) daily to ensure all needs are met.

Thanks to our expertise, Cleantec was able to deliver invaluable safety and cleaning measures during the pandemic. Still, we strive to deliver exceptional value daily by providing a fool-proof plan based on years of experience. This starts with a Cleaning Plan consisting of a specific checklist for each cleaner and each shift. This customized checklist is laid out in the most efficient path possible, ensuring every employee's success and accuracy of completion. By providing a checklist, we eliminate the possibility of a task being missed.

Our process for obtaining a daily checklist for an individual cleaner starts with our client's scope of work and ends with a customized daily checklist for each employee to follow. The sum of all checklists equals the agreed-upon scope and results in a cleaning plan encompassing all the customer's expectations. This plan eliminates the guesswork for our employees and customers and is modified as new needs arise.

For example, when the client underwent a facilities expansion, Cleantec provided the necessary construction cleaning services at the new building and ensured the new bathrooms were usable throughout the renovation process.

When the client experienced a personnel shortage, Cleantec provided the labor needed to fill the temporary maintenance position. Our team members trained on the auto scrubber to ensure the manufacturing floors remained spotless during their employee's leave of absence.
